Sahand Farooji

Project Director

Sahand is an accomplished development professional with over 18 years of experience in the construction and development industry. His career has seen him manage complex urban development projects for some of the leading developers in the industry, including Lendlease, Frasers Property, Sekisui House, Landen Property, and Stockland. Among the most notable projects he worked on are Calderwood Urban, Bingara Gorge, Brooks Reach, McPhails, Tullimbar Village (now Ravenwood), Gledswood Hills, Lakeside, and Shell Cove. Sahand’s expertise spans multiple stages and disciplines of development, from planning to execution, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. His knowledge in management and engineering enables him to approach challenges with strategic insight, providing effective solutions to clients and stakeholders.

Dr Goodarz Sohrabian

Design Director

Goodarz is the Director of HOMA’s Toronto branch, where he brings significant expertise in architectural design and construction. With over 13 years of experience teaching architectural and urban design at the university level, he has developed a robust understanding of both theoretical and practical design challenges. His professional portfolio includes the design and construction management of various residential and commercial projects in the Greater Toronto Area and the Middle East. Goodarz has also participated in and judged numerous design competitions, demonstrating his commitment to innovative design and high standards. As a BCIN-certified professional, Goodarz emphasizes delivering projects that meet client needs while embodying a strong, artistic vision. His leadership at HOMA ensures that each project benefits from his extensive design experience and strategic insights.

Hooman Zarei

Construction Manager

Hooman Zarei is an expert in Construction Management Services with over 15 years of experience in residential and commercial projects across the Middle East. Currently, as a PhD candidate in Construction Management and Engineering, Hooman focuses on enhancing resource efficiency and sustainability in project delivery. He specializes in managing construction processes from pre-construction through post-construction phases, ensuring environmental sustainability and adherence to client objectives. Hooman has worked with leading consulting firms, building a reputation for his strategic approach and leadership in managing complex logistics. His recognition as the ACEMI Association Outstanding Member (2024-2025) reflects his dedication to advancing construction management practices. At HOMA, Hooman continues to provide effective and innovative solutions for projects seeking to balance sustainability with operational efficiency

Jan Siroky

Development Manager

Jan began his career in Europe as an IT Project Manager, leading multi-million-dollar data science projects in e-commerce and marketing for prestigious clients such as Victoria Beckham, Nissan, and Decathlon. He later transitioned to a Digital Director role at a property development company, where he uncovered a passion for real estate development while establishing their e-commerce division from the ground up. During this time, Jan identified and resolved inefficiencies in construction and development processes, eventually managing a portfolio of projects under the mentorship of the company’s owners. He also pursued private property ventures, including apartment renovations and duplex developments. To further enhance his expertise, Jan moved to Sydney to pursue a double degree—a Master of Property and Development and a Master of Construction Project Management—at UNSW. He graduated with high distinctions and earned a place on the 2022 Dean’s List for academic excellence. While completing his studies, Jan worked as a project manager and consultant, advising on government industrial developments, residential projects, and retirement village initiatives. Additionally, he founded a short-term rental management company, scaling it to manage over 74 apartments within 15 months.

Hossein Bagherzadeh

Urban Planning Manager

Hossein is a Development Strategist and Energy Advisor at HOMA’s Toronto branch, with 18 years of experience in sustainability and the built environment. His expertise spans building retrofits, urban energy systems, and the design of distributed energy and district heating/cooling networks. Currently pursuing a PhD in Building Science at Toronto Metropolitan University, Hossein actively contributes to urban retrofit and electrification projects, working with organizations such as NRC, NRCAN, EnWave Energy, and the City of Toronto. His professional focus is on technical aspects of district energy systems and large-scale urban retrofits. Hossein has developed a strong niche in advising on deep decarbonization strategies and urban sustainability, ensuring practical and innovative solutions are implemented across projects. His role at HOMA includes integrating energy conservation practices into urban development, addressing the environmental challenges of today’s cities.
